Laser cutting uses a high-powered laser beam controlled via computer to cut through sheets of material into a pattern, commonly metal is used although many other materials can be laser cut. The laser cutter only requires simple programming of the cutting path before operating, so laser cutting does not require any expensive tooling, dies, or molds and can be up and running very quickly. Many of our customers will need sample parts on an expedited schedule, and Rotaloc’s laser cutting capabilities allows us to meet their schedule even with complex part demands.
