Injection Molding is one of the most commonly used manufacturing processes in the world, and for good reason, as no process is able to produce identical plastic parts as quickly or efficiently as injection molding. Injection molding starts with a mold that is a negative of the desired part that molten plastic is injected into at high speeds and pressures. The plastic quickly cools and solidifies in the mold before it is ejected, and the cycle can repeat itself almost immediately. The parts often need a secondary trimming operation to remove slight imperfections in the plastic, but after this small step the finished parts are ready to go. Rotaloc has considerable experience working with injection molding, and we can help our customers with part and mold design to get the most out of the injection molding process.
